The Puy de Dome, North Face by MaximeCourty The Puy de Dome, North Face by MaximeCourty
You can purchase high quality prints of this photo in my website Wildscapes

North view of the Puy de Dôme from the top of the Puy de Pariou. The soft lighting of the end of the afternoon and these beautiful clouds created a delicate and classy mood.

I really like this shot!
The contrast between the green and the dryness is superbe. It creates a really interesnting path for the eye, and then those gorgeous clouds give the dynamics to the composition...
Superbe!
Altough I think there's perhaps a bit too much dry part on the front, not allowing the perspective to develope on it own. But otherwise, this is a great image!!!
congrats

Thank you. I see what you mean about the dry part. If I changed my angle looking more upward I would have 50% sky 50% ground and I don't like this balance. If I could choose like in a painting I would have made 1/3 foreground 1/3 green background 1/3 sky. In photography you have to compose with your environnement even if it isn't perfectly as you want sometimes =)
